Preparing Students for 21st Century Global Citizenship
Grade Level – 4-12
We hear a lot about preparing students for the demands of the 21st century and for global citizenship. But, what knowledge, skills, performances – and let’s not forget dispositions—will students need to lead purposeful lives as global citizens? And…how will we fit yet another demanding initiative into our already crowded curriculums? In this workshop you will learn what you may already be doing to prepare students for global citizenship, other things that you should be doing and, equally as important, some things that you should avoid doing. You will come away from the workshop with ideas and strategies for preparing students to be global citizens. Presenters have worked
with students and faculty from many different countries and cultures and will give you ideas and strategies that will complement rather than strain your already crowded curriculum.
